*Aliens & Women* is a 1980 pinball machine from [[manufacturer:bem]], the [[location:italy/mi/milan]] firm [[corporate-entity:bigliardini-elettronici-milano]] run by Giorgio Masiero, its title pointing to an [[theme:aliens]] subject.^[1] BEM built its tables not from original designs but from recycled American hardware: a surviving *[[model:dogs-race]]* was found with its Gottlieb cabinet, front door and coin plate wrapped around mechanics that were otherwise almost entirely Williams.^[2] The game came in two cabinet formats — the compact "testa piccola" (small-head) build the firm favoured, and a full-size "testa normale" version.^[3]
