- Flipcommons AI Descriptions (MachineModel)Elf is a one-off homebrew designed by [[person:bob-nies]], based on the 2003 Christmas comedy film *Elf*.[1] Built on [[system:multimorphic-p3-roc]] hardware[1] with a playfield monitor, it took Nies nearly three years rather than the intended one and debuted at the 2022 Texas Pinball Festival.[2] Never a commercial product, it won that year's TWIPY award for Favorite Homebrew.[3][4]

I was trying to build this within a year (took almost 3) [...] There was one 'must have' before I even started and that was the playfield monitor. [...] I built Elf for fun, not to sell it. I don't own the license so kudos to anyone that may have snatched it up after my TPF reveal.
