Satellite TV

Satellite TV is a reissue of Model Racing’s UFO, the game that gave the Montemarciano firm the distinction of producing the first original coin-op video game designed in Italy.^[1] UFO defied the usual categories: Model Racing sold it as a video pinball, mounting a screen inside a pinball cabinet in place of the playfield,^[2] and its action sat somewhere between pinball and Breakout.^[3] UFO debuted on 11 January 1975 at the ATEI trade fair in London, where Model Racing struck a deal for Chicago Coin to take the game into the American market.^[4] Chicago Coin’s licensed edition reached United States arcades that same year as Super Flipper.^[5] Satellite TV followed as a near-identical re-run of UFO, its playfield all but indistinguishable from the original — quite possibly the same game under a second name.^[6]
