Surf
Overview
Surf is the name Bensa s.a.s. gave two distinct machines: an Electromechanical build (Surf) and a later Solid State one (Surf), a pairing that straddles the shift from relay-driven tables to circuit-board electronics in Italian pinball. Both Surfing tables owe their attribution to the Milan maker to the collector Thierry Delisle, whom tilt.it credits with identifying the undated machine as a Bensa build.[1] The two Surfs sit within the pattern of the rest of Bensa’s line — copies “of the gottlieb pinballs around the same year.”[2]
