- Flipcommons AI Descriptions (MachineModel)*Fly Man* is a single-player solid-state table built in 1978 by [[manufacturer:cea]] — Costruzioni Elettroniche Automatiche, the small [[location:italy/bo/bologna]] firm headed by Dante Pavone.[1] C.E.A. built pinball machines for only a brief run at the close of the decade, on a wholly in-house [[technology-generation:solid-state]] boardset whose play stayed spartan next to the machines of Chicago or of nearby [[manufacturer:zaccaria]].[2] Like many small European makers of the era it borrowed from American designs — its stablemate *[[model:satellite-2]]* reworked [[manufacturer:gottlieb]]'s *[[model:jet-spin]]* into a pared-down solid-state machine — while *Fly Man* went out under a name of the firm's own.[2]

CEA Electronics Corporation is an Italian company (from Bologna) that made pinball machines between 1977 and 1979. [...] their boardset was also totally custom. Although solid state, their games were still very basic. CEA Satelite for instance is a simplified copy of the electro-mechanical Gottlieb Jet Spin (many small European pinball companies just copied other models).
